First, thank you all so much who have already jumped online to help Ronda out, you have deeply touched all of our hearts and have helped her situation tremendously!!♥️ We will be doing the live stream for a bit longer as we continue to raise funds to support her and her bills via GoFundMe. If you feel inclined to help, no amount is too small, even $5! And if you just wanna pop online to offer some encouraging words or a prayer, that is SO good too! For those who don’t know, in December of 2024, Seth’s mother, Ronda, was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Since the very beginning of January this year, she has been going through chemotherapy and is currently in the Red Devil stage, which consists of very strong chemo doses.
UPDATE:
The last dose hit her hard. She has been doing her best to get strong enough for surgery, but needs your prayers! As of now we do not have a date for surgery, but are hopeful to have one by the end of August ❤
Once she is doing better, she will be heading for a double mastectomy followed by 15 rounds of radiation. She spends most of her time weak, sick, and fighting just to make it through the day as comfortably as possible. While that alone is plenty awful enough, the side effects and time demands for chemo forced her to leave her job in January.
On top of everything, Ronda also supports her two live-in grandchildren. As I’m sure you can understand, supporting a family of 3 while being able to afford her rent, medical bills, and utilities has become an increasingly difficult challenge during this time while she is unable to work. Not to mention any unexpected expenses that always seem to arise. So, we came up with an idea to help, and are asking others to join.
Alone, we can only do so much, but collectively, I think we can make a difference during this difficult time in her life! As many of you are well aware, we (Seth and Sara) play multiple shows every week currently in the North/South Carolina area. We’ve decided that we would like to start live streaming at least one show per week, with a virtual tip jar, and give 100% of the online contributions to Seth’s mother Ronda in order to help ease her stress of daily living expenses, medical bills, travel to and from chemo, etc.
Each week we will update you on which show will be live streamed and what time you can tune in, as well as all important info like website, gratuity, etc. Every broadcast will feature a different venue- some old songs, some new, but always lots of love! So be sure to plan more than one weekend at home!
So please, follow us, mark your calendars, and no matter where you are in the country, tune in with Mama Ronda and us as we share our music, and try to raise some extra funds to help a wonderful person in need during the battle of her life! We would all truly, truly appreciate it ❤️
