In August 2017, Aldridge was fired from Kingsland Police Department after multiple incidents of unnecessary force, including forcing a woman down during a stop. Just months later, he was hired by Camden County Sheriff’s Office. In October 2022, during a traffic stop, Aldridge pulled over Leonard Cure, a man wrongfully imprisoned for 16 years. Bodycam shows Aldridge used force again, striking Cure with a taser, and moments later, the encounter ended in tragedy. In August 2025, a federal grand jury indicts Aldridge on charges of using excessive force and covering it up. He resigned the same day.
