08/07/2025 Michael Pack, former CEO of USAGM: There had been a huge security failure at USAGM, Voice of America and the other networks, for over 10 years. They failed to clear people. I think over 1,000 had failed to get adequate security clearances, including people with top secret clearances. And we moved to try to stop it, but we were blocked. There's a record of going back 10 years of both Republican and Democratic administrations ignoring this.
