STREAM DECK + and XLR DOCK - TOTAL CONTROL

Review and how to use the Elgato Stream Deck + and XLR Dock. The SD+ has 8 customizable LCD Keys, a Multifunction Touch Strip, and 4 endless Dials that both turn and click (push in).

The XLR Dock adds an XLR input, and 3.5mm output. The XLR Dock turns the SD+ into a full featured production studio/audio interface.

The XLR Dock provides up to 75dB of input gain, which means it can drive even the Shure SM7B without needing a Cloudlifter. It also has 48v Phantom Power, and Clip Guard, which does exactly what it sounds like - it keeps you from clipping.

The Stream Deck + and XLR Dock are both compatible with Elgato Wave Link (software) which allows you to create a mix of several sources (mic, browser, music, game audio, sfx, etc...) and route it out into things like OBS Studio for Live Streaming, Gaming, Podcasting, and Recording - or route into things like Discord, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or whatever you want.

And yes, you can use Wave Link with the SD+ even if you don't have the XLR Dock. That means you can route inputs from other audio interfaces into Wave Link and control the output from the Stream Deck +

You can even add VST plugins (audio fx) directly into Wave Link so your audio sounds professional during recording or live streaming.

Stream Decks are not only for live streamers or gamers, they are also productivity tools that fit into almost every workflow.

Use the SD+ to control your DAW like Studio One, Pro Tools, Cubase, and more.

Use it with your NLE (video editor) like Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, etc...

Use it with photo/graphics apps like Photoshop or Affinity Photo.

Use it to control your system by adjusting volume, launching apps, pasting text, grabbing screen shots, opening browsers and websites - and combining all of that together in a single button press.

There is so much you can do with a Stream Deck it would take hours to go over everything. And once you check out the Elgato Marketplace which has tons of free plugins to further expand the Stream Deck - the possibilities are practically endless. But, this video will get you familiar with the SD+, XLR Dock, Stream Deck software, and Wave Link software.
