Moving a Pregnant 🤰 Tenant to a Safe Home 🏠 — Acting Fast for Habitability

Today we’re preparing a new property for a tenant who needs to move in immediately.
She originally moved into another home, but that property is now considered uninhabitable under North Carolina law because of:
🚫 A possible gas leak
🚫 No working oven/stove
🚫 No hot water due to the gas utility not operating
With her being pregnant, there was no time to waste. We worked quickly to find equal and safe accommodations so she has a fully habitable home to live in while we address the issues with the original property.
As property managers, our job is to protect both tenants and homeowners. This means:
✅ Acting fast in emergencies
✅ Ensuring all rental properties meet state habitability standards
✅ Keeping communication open between all parties
We’ll now coordinate with the homeowner of the first property to make all the required repairs before it can be rented again.
Safe housing isn’t just a legal requirement — it’s the right thing to do.
Let’s go!
