Big Block Modifieds at Oswego

A Regional career race at Oswego Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a little bumpy, but not bad. There is a decent amount of room for maneuvering around traffic. The track does get slick below the cushion after Qualifying and progressively gets worse, leaving a small lane at the very bottom with traction or the cushion. I find sliding from the bottom of 1 to the top of 2, then enter the middle or top of 3 and exiting on the top of 4 the fastest. The bottom is pretty close to the top early on, but by the Heats the previously mentioned line is far faster.

A very good caution free race. When I saw the results of Qualifying I thought I was racing against 305 Sportsman class, as the 2nd place AI was almost 2 seconds slower. Generally traffic navigation was pretty good, considering the speed difference. I did give a couple cars a shot in the shorts flying up on them too quickly. I also got into the wall a couple times as I only got a couple laps to get a feel for the track before I was in lapped traffic, so I would misjudge entry points and pitch and slide up into the exit of the corners. Overall though the race itself was pretty good with a lot of sliders and dive bombs.
