📖 2 Corinthians 1: Comfort in Affliction, Strength in Christ 🕊 💪

Streamed on:
43

In this final chapter of 1 Corinthians, Paul gives practical instructions to the Corinthian church. He covers giving, planning, and supporting faithful leaders, while closing with heartfelt encouragements.

But even in logistics, Jesus is present—as our motivation for generosity, love, and endurance. Paul reminds them to “be watchful, stand firm, be strong, do everything in love.”

🔹 Giving with Purpose – Planned, cheerful, and for the saints (vv. 1–4)
🔹 Ministry Plans – Trusting God’s direction (vv. 5–9)
🔹 Honoring Servants – Support leaders like Timothy (vv. 10–12)
🔹 Final Exhortations – Be watchful, strong, loving (v. 13–14)
🔹 Encouragement in Fellowship – Refresh others like the household of Stephanas (vv. 15–24)

We see Jesus as the reason we give, the Lord of our plans, and the example of steadfast love in service and sacrifice.

2 Corinthians 1

Paul opens his second letter to the Corinthians with deep vulnerability and hope. He reminds them—and us—that God is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.

Affliction is real. But so is the God who walks with us through it. Paul shows us that suffering isn't wasted—it's used to make us more like Jesus and to comfort others.

🔹 The God of Comfort – Present in suffering (vv. 1–7)
🔹 Shared Affliction – Strength in Christian community (v. 6)
🔹 Despair and Deliverance – God raises the dead (vv. 8–11)
🔹 Clear Conscience – Integrity in ministry (vv. 12–14)
🔹 Christ-Centered Promises – In Him it's always “Yes and Amen” (vv. 18–22)

Jesus is the source of all comfort, the deliverer in despair, and the guarantee of every promise.
