Was the 1990s a Simpler Time to Lead? | From a Chief Heart Officer

When I started my career in the 1990s, resilience looked very different.
☕ Stiff coffee
📞 Nokia brick phones
📁 Booking meeting rooms on paper
💻 Worrying about Y2K
💼 And role models like Gordon Gekko and Melanie Griffith in Working Girl
Back then, we were taught to tough it out and power through.
But the world has changed — radically.
Today, I work with senior teams to rewire how they lead in a world that’s faster, flatter, more human — and more demanding than ever.
Because what got us here won’t get us there.
Resilience now isn't about being hard — it's about being ready.
Ready to unlearn, to adapt, to lead with clarity and courage — even when the path ahead is uncertain.
🎥 This clip is a light-hearted throwback — but the message underneath is real.
We need to evolve how we show up.
