Coming Out the Gate Lyric Video

Hey Fam, Friends, and Fans.

This is Lloyd Bickford, aka Proverb Lexis. Welcome to the lyric video for "Coming Out the Gate."

I've been working towards this song, along with "The Uphill," from the very first Album I released. In fact, while I was planning "The Uphill" I was struggling between which song to choose for the album title.

This song very much represents a turning point in my life, and an open rebellion against rebellion itself. I settled for its place in the Song Order because before change can truly occur, we must first acknowledge that there's a problem to begin with. True change doesn't end at the beginning of the journey, hence I decided against this song as the title of the album.

"Coming Out the Gate" represents exactly that, though, the beginning of a journey of change... at the cost of everything, because the weight of the matter truly is that heavy.
It's so heavy that "Yehoshua is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Without Him there is no life..." Our very lives hang on the balance of whether we are willing to stand complacent in a dying world versus our willingness to step out and become uncomfortable for the sake of the weightier matters of life itself.

"Choose this day whom you will serve..."

As for me... "I'm coming out the gate."
