Day 218 – Everlasting Compassion & True Peace — Isaiah 54–57 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

Following the suffering of the Servant in chapter 53, Isaiah shifts to a message of restoration, hope, and invitation. God promises unfailing love, compares His covenant to the days of Noah, and calls His people to abundant peace. We also see a stark contrast between the peace offered to the righteous and the unrest of the wicked. These chapters explore God's mercy, His desire for heartfelt repentance, and the promise of healing for the contrite.

Questions:
1. In Isaiah 54, God compares His covenant of peace to the covenant with Noah—what does this comparison reveal about the permanence and nature of His promises?

2. Isaiah 55 invites people to come without money and receive what satisfies—how does this image challenge our typical view of spiritual pursuit and God’s generosity?

3. What does Isaiah 57 teach us about the kind of heart God chooses to dwell with, and how should that shape our approach to repentance and humility?
