Tab Soda Commercial "Be a mindsticker" 1960's and 1970's
The "Be a Mindsticker" campaign was a prominent advertising slogan used by Coca-Cola for its Tab soda, first introduced in the 1960s and heavily featured in the 1970s.
The campaign encouraged women to drink Tab so they could "stay in his mind — be a Mindsticker" and "have a shape he can’t forget".
This messaging was part of a broader marketing strategy that portrayed Tab as a product for "beautiful people" watching their weight, linking the consumption of the diet soda to maintaining an attractive physique.
The slogan and associated ads became iconic, though they are now recognized as outdated and sexist.
The campaign's repetition, such as the echo-like delivery in some commercials, was a notable stylistic feature.
Despite its popularity, the campaign's focus on gendered messaging did not prevent the eventual decline of the Tab brand, which was largely overshadowed by the launch of Diet Coke in 1982.
