Chapter 13: Marooned:
Following the storm, Nate wakes up alone on the shore of an island near Libertalia, disarmed and injured. This chapter focuses heavily on environmental traversal — players climb slick cliffs, wade through flooding rivers, and carefully descend crumbling ledges while enduring brutal weather. Midway through, Shoreline mercenaries arrive, prompting a mix of stealth and cover-based combat across tight jungle paths and ruined watchtowers. Eventually, Nate reunites with Sam after a high-stakes encounter with armored enemies, and the two press on toward the mountains where Libertalia awaits.

Chapter 14: Join Me in Paradise:
Now exploring the outskirts of Libertalia, Nate and Sam traverse dense jungle, descend broken bridges, and slide down muddy cliffs to reach the entrance of the pirate city. The gameplay blends wide-area exploration with vertical climbing segments and dialogue-driven discovery as the brothers piece together Libertalia’s downfall. Players inspect pirate portraits, notes, and signs of a massacre in the town square while pushing through increasingly hostile terrain. There’s minimal combat, but the chapter sets the stage for what lies deeper inside the ruined colony.

Chapter 15: The Thieves of Libertalia:
This chapter leans heavily into exploration and environmental storytelling as Nate and Sam explore the decaying mansions of Libertalia’s pirate founders. Players investigate looted homes, solve minor navigation puzzles, and witness grisly scenes of betrayal as they uncover how Avery and Tew poisoned their fellow captains to hoard the treasure. Gameplay involves navigating debris-blocked hallways, squeezing through narrow gaps, and pushing crates to access upper levels. Eventually, they discover a hidden passage leading out of Libertalia and into the jungle toward a gated estate called New Devon.

Chapter 16: The Brothers Drake:
In this playable flashback, young Nate and Sam sneak into a private estate at night to uncover belongings of their late mother. Stealth is the primary mechanic — players avoid being spotted, move quietly through the darkened house, and solve light environmental puzzles to access locked rooms. Exploration is rewarded with documents and artifacts that hint at their mother’s historical work on pirate legends. After a brief chase sequence, the brothers escape and symbolically reclaim their identity by adopting the "Drake" name — adding emotional depth to the story and context for their treasure-hunting roots.
