Fort Stewart Shooting: 5 Soldiers Wounded — Shooter in Custody

On August 6, 2025, five U.S. soldiers were shot by a fellow soldier serving at Fort Stewart, Georgia, prompting an immediate lockdown at the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area. The shooter was apprehended within 40 minutes and no further threat remains.
