Marcos on Firstpost: Philippine President Vows to "Defend" Territory Amid China Claims |Palki Sharma

In an exclusive interview with Firstpost Managing Editor Palki Sharma, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reiterated that the Philippines will not cede "one square inch of our territory". Asked about the criticism received for not mentioning the West Philippine Sea in his recent State of the Nation Address, Marcos Jr. said: "You can defend your sovereignty. You can defend your territory. You can do all of that. You can modernize the military. And at the same time, you can continue to be a friend to all, and an enemy of none." Repeating his statement during the interview, he added, "Let me say it again. The Philippines will not cede one square inch of our territory. We will not give up the exercise of our sovereign rights ever."
