SNAP program may fold if shutdown persists

As a partial government shutdown enters its second week with no clear end in sight, tensions are high for many, including the nearly 150,000 Idahoans who depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program -- otherwise known as "SNAP" or "food stamps." "To have that removed doesn't affect just a few people-- it affects thousands of people and in a significant way," said Karen Vauk, President and CEO, Idaho Foodbank.
