Unity in Diversity

Diversity seems to be on everyone's lips these days. But, what does it mean in the church? As the church, we should celebrate the diversity of others to create unity within the body of Christ. God created us to be different, to like different things, to be gifted in different ways, to see the world through different eyes. We are not to be all the same - that would be boring. Instead we should embrace the differences and realize that God has a different place for each of us. We need to ask ourselves: "Am I building bridges or barriers?" Unity is not uniformity—it’s harmony. “Unity does not mean we all look alike, but that we all look to Christ.” We can be unified in and thru our diversity.
