The mind is very good at making distinctions: left versus right, right versus wrong, you versus me, this versus that. As soon as we start using language, distinctions are introduced because one word is not another word; otherwise language would be unusable. Therefore, as we begin to use words, we create separation, which makes it difficult to reconnect with what lies between them.

During Spiritual Meeting, we develop our awareness of what lies between. Words point either to where they come from or to where they point—the Source. It’s all words. However, if we engage in this movement of attention and find ourselves experiencing it—being moved—when "I" drops, what remains is movement. This is why, when people are in the flow, they sometimes say that the "I" has disappeared. They don't actually vanish; it’s just that this sense of separation disappears. There’s just movement, especially when it’s creative energy, love or the feeling of being alive—it feels really expansive.

This is how I feel right now, engaging with you: this sense of presence and openness, and the amazement that we are alive in this living universe, becoming aware.
