The prophet of Donbass, a saint of our time - Zosima

Back in the 90s he predicted the coming war in Ukraine, the revival of Ukrainian fascism, and the atrocities which would follow from the Orthodox schism: ‘When I die,’ he said, ‘bury me deep, so that the Banderites do not dig me up.’

He also predicted the reunification of lands and Churches: ‘The people need to wake up, need to defend the unity of our holy Rus! They have fragmented us, making an artificial enmity between Russians and Ukrainians...’

Our new film ‘Father Zosima: Testament of a Donetsk Seer’ has unique archival records, and footage from the front line - all places associated with the life of this seer. Filming took place under heavy fire from Ukrainian troops, and is combined with testimonies collected throughout Russia.
