Mic Drop
This story starts out on the Streets of Detroit where I was raised in the 1960's including the riot in the summer of 67. Living through that time to say the least had a profound impact. This gritty rap track lays down a powerful reflection on what it truly means to be an O.G., drawing a sharp line between the lived experience of street-hardened survivors and the younger generation who claim the title without earning it. Set against the backdrop of Detroit's tough history, the lyrics pay homage to a time when respect, survival, and loyalty defined the code. With raw memories of violence, loss, and resilience, the song serves as both a warning and a reminder: being an original gangster means outlasting the fire—and carrying the scars to prove it.
