In today’s episode of Let’s Chat with Veterans, we honor Reg Charles, a brave soldier of A Company, 2nd Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry — the legendary unit that stormed Pegasus Bridge on D-Day.

Reg was part of the second wave of gliders to land in Normandy on June 6, 1944, and later fought through some of the toughest battles of the war, including the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Varsity. He was one of the last surviving “originals” of his battalion — a symbol of courage, resilience, and legacy.

Join us as we share Reg’s incredible journey from training in England to gliding into occupied France and marching toward victory.
