2 dead, 6 wounded in ‘senseless’ mass shooting at warehouse party in downtown L.A.

Two people were killed and six others injured in a shooting early Monday outside an unsanctioned warehouse party in downtown Los Angeles.

Police had shut down the party hours earlier after spotting an armed person, but gunfire erupted around 1 a.m., causing chaos.

Authorities suspect the event was tied to a gang-related “hood day” celebration and recovered multiple firearms at the scene, the Los Angeles Times has reported.

The incident highlights growing concerns over illegal parties in downtown’s industrial zones, where vacant warehouses often host unpermitted gatherings linked to violence, drugs, and other crimes.

No suspects have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
