Lewis & Clark Adventure
It's important to know who came before us. History is a great teacher of things to come. It's not often we get to experience that history but when we do, it changes our perception of the world, our community and ourself.
In Stevenson, Washington, students spend five days kayaking 132 miles to Astoria, Oregon.
As you will see in this story, yes, it's about retracing the journey of Lewis & Clark but more importantly this experience introduces high school students to the idea that adventure is yours if you are willing to take it on.
I found out about this adventure, when we visited the area for another video shoot.
The school superintendent mentioned Lewis & Clark in passing. Later, I met someone in the community, mentioned the story, this person said how much, and found the funding.
Enjoy, share with friends, start something like this at your own school.
Kids need to know what they can do.
