Fans Rage as Jaron Ennis Names Four Weak Opponents

Fans have reacted strongly to the list of four names that Jaron Ennis has sent offers to for his next fight.

Ennis recently confirmed his decision to move up to 154 pounds, having unified at 147 in his last fight by stopping Eimantas Stanionis.

Ennis was expected to chase undisputed, but reports stressed that staying at 147 would not allow him to perform at his optimum level. Naturally, the attention turned towards who he would face at 154.

Eddie Hearn had suggested that a fight with the WBC Interim Junior Middleweight Champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. could happen. They were previously in talks for a fight, but talks broke down after differences over the weight class.

Ortiz is now being linked with a fight against Keith Thurman in October, ruling that fight out for now, as Ennis’ team has sent out other offers.

Rashidi Ellis, Charles Conwell, Josh Kelly, and Andreas Katzourakis are among the people to whom Boots Ennis' team, whoever that may be, has made offers. Do you think Boots is cherry-picking tune-up fights at 154?

Or do you think the four names on the list are great opponents for Boots? Let's look at the comments to see what people say.
