SCRIPTURE READING FOR
TODAY Gen 44:10-16

10 “That’s fair,” the man replied. “But only the one who stole the cup will be my slave. The rest of you may go free.”
11 They all quickly took their sacks from the backs of their donkeys and opened them.
12 The palace manager searched the brothers’ sacks, from the oldest to the youngest. And the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack!
13 When the brothers saw this, they tore their clothing in despair. Then they loaded their donkeys again and returned to the city.
14 Joseph was still in his palace when Judah and his brothers arrived, and they fell to the ground before him.
15 “What have you done?” Joseph demanded. “Don’t you know that a man like me can predict the future?”
16 Judah answered, “Oh, my lord, what can we say to you? How can we explain this? How can we prove our innocence? God is punishing us for our sins. My lord, we have all returned to be your slaves—all of us, not just our brother who had your cup in his sack.”

The Word of God To Meditate On Today

Once again, we see Joseph's brothers paid back in full with the seed they sowed into the life of their Father, Jacob. The lies about Joesph that they told to their Father that made him tore his clothes (Gen 37:2-4) has come back hunting them in a bigger way, thus the golden rule was applied. What is the golden rule? - Matt 7:12. Note that the 10 brothers tore their clothes at the same time because of a lie. Even-though it was only their Father that it happened to years back, it came back bigger according to God's word (Luke 6:38). If it was a positive issue, it would have been the same measure - 10 for 1. Be careful what you make happen for others, may you be instructed in Jesus' name!

32 Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic or not?”
33 And he recognized it and said, “It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.”
34 Then Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days.
Golden Rule

Luke 6:31 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Personal Supplication
Father, grant me the grace to sow good seeds into the lives of others at all times, as I do multiply it back into my life in Jesus' name Luk 6:38

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
