The Ancient Mysteries (pt. III): the Eleusinian, Orphic, & Bacchic Mysteries

In this video, we continue with our exploration of ancient traditions that influenced the development of religions and secret societies in the west, following the account from the "Secret Teachings of All Ages" by Manly Palmer Hall. It’s one of my favorite books in this field and I plan to cover most, if not all, of the major themes found in The book. I’ll be selecting topics based on my own interests and presenting them in a way that feels natural to the broader conversation. Still, the book itself begins with a study of the ancient mystery traditions, systems of initiation and symbolic wisdom that laid the groundwork for later religions and secret societies like the Freemasons and Rosicrucians. This video is the third and last in a three-part series exploring these ancient mysteries as the foundation for everything that follows. The themes we explore in this video are the Eleusinian, Orphic, & Bacchic Mysteries.
