In Madagascar, the small village of Ambalavuntaka lives in fear of killer crocodiles. For eight years, one or more beasts have surrounded this small, isolated peninsula in the middle of the Pangalanes Canal, in the east of the country, spreading terror every day.
In recent years, five people have been eaten. Since the canal's water is the only source of water, it's impossible to lead a normal life... washing dishes, swimming, or simply crossing the canal—all these simple everyday actions have become a reckless and risky adventure. Countless livestock and poultry have disappeared, victims of these fearsome predators. Too poor to buy weapons, the villagers are unable to defend themselves. Even if they had a rifle, they would remain helpless in the face of these monsters. They must approach them on the water and shoot their eye to be sure to kill them. A skill only a few experienced hunters possess. Concerned by the terrible curse of this small village lost in the wilderness, a renowned young Malagasy hunter and a French crocodile specialist join forces to try to save this helpless village from the curse that weighs upon it...
