Php 3.126 billion Bucana Bridge in Davao gifted by China to the Duterte Administration nears Completion

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that the Bucana or Davao River Bridge Project in Davao City is nearing completion, with the ceremonial final Concrete Pouring Activity made recently.

The Bridge is around 480 meters long with four Lanes and six Spans, and with a total Length of 1.34 km including the Approach Roads. It is worth Php 3.126 billion and was funded thru an Aid Grant from the Official Development Assistance (ODA) Program of China.

The Agreement for the Grant was signed in 2020 during the Term of former President Rodrigo Duterte, although the official construction itself of the Bridge didn't start until last Year 2024.

MY THOUGHTS:
Just a Reminder to the Pinoy Doggie Arf-Arfs of the United States (US) what China has given to the Duterte Administration. Note that this is one of the THREE brand new and modern Bridges that China GAVE Digong.

Some Pinoy Doggies still have trouble believing that China did GIVE Digong these Bridges, thanks to the US Propaganda and News Manipulation by the Pro-US, Anti-China Philippine Press. But clearly since this was an AID GRANT, then this was GIVEN, not a LOAN as some are insisting.

Three Years of the ‘Bangag’ constantly and shamelessly sucking up to the US, and what has the Philippines gotten? Very little. Actually this Bridge given by China to Digong is worth around 54 million in US Dollars, nearly the same amount as the Usd 60 million that the US supposedly gave to the ‘Bangag’ recently during his visit there.

The Difference of course is that China coursed their Usd 54 million thru a Bridge, while the US coursed their Usd 60 million into vague Programs in the Energy, Maritime and Economic Growth Programs which they themselves couldn’t even give Detailed Information about.

Bottomline is that China’s Aid was Transparent enough for everybody to see, while those of the US aren’t. Makes me wonder if those US Programs are actually pushing thru, or are just PRESS RELEASES so it will be said they supposedly “gave” something.

If you look closely, the new Bucana Bridge looks like the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge which China also gave to us.
