Psalm 13 – When God Feels Distant, But Faith Remains

Psalm 13 is a soul’s honest cry — a psalm that begins in silence and sorrow but ends in song.
David asks the question so many of us have whispered: “How long, O Lord?”
It’s the prayer of someone who feels forgotten, overwhelmed, and unseen — yet still chooses to hope.

This psalm is for anyone who has waited longer than they thought they could.
It’s for the person lying awake with a heavy heart. For the one wrestling with despair but refusing to let go of faith.
It’s a song for when answers don’t come — and yet, something inside still says,
“I have trusted in Your mercy… I will sing to the Lord.”

Psalm 13 teaches us that lament is not faithlessness — it’s a form of faith.
To ask, to wait, and to still trust is a quiet act of courage.
And even in the waiting, God is near.
