Psalm 10 – Trusting God When Evil Seems to Win

Psalm Chapter 10 is a cry from the shadows — a psalm of deep lament and quiet confidence.
David looks around and sees injustice flourishing. The wicked are proud, deceitful, and hidden. They prey on the helpless and act as if God doesn’t see.
“Why do You stand afar off, O Lord?”
It’s a question we still ask when evil seems to go unpunished.

But this psalm is more than complaint — it is a call for God to rise.
David pleads for justice, for the oppressed to be remembered, for the fatherless to be defended.
And then, as always in the psalms, truth shines through the fog:
“But You have seen…”
God has not forgotten. He hears the cry of the humble. He will prepare their hearts.
And He will do justice.

Psalms Chapter 10 reminds us that no scheme escapes His sight, no suffering is overlooked, and no oppressor has the final word.
