Psalm 9 – Praising God for Justice, Mercy, and the Fall of the Wicked

Psalm Chapter 9 is a bold song of gratitude to a God who remembers.
David opens with praise — “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart” — and recounts God's justice, His mercy toward the oppressed, and His eternal throne.

In a world where the wicked seem to rise and the humble are forgotten, this psalm declares that God sees, God judges, and God defends.
He brings down the proud and lifts up the lowly. He is not distant. He is a refuge in times of trouble, and He does not forget the cry of the humble.

David rejoices in salvation, but also warns: the nations that forget God fall into their own traps.
Yet hope rises through every line — for those who seek Him, He has not forsaken.

Psalm 9 reminds us that God's throne is righteous, His memory is perfect, and His justice endures forever.
