Psalm 8 – God’s Majesty in Creation and His Care for Humanity

Psalms Chapter 8 is a hymn of awe — a song of wonder that begins and ends with the same truth: “O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth.”
David lifts his eyes to the stars, to the moon, to the skies that speak of God’s greatness — and he’s left breathless. Not just because of what God has made, but because God is mindful of us.

He reflects on a stunning contrast: the Creator of the universe crowns fragile humanity with glory and honor.
We are small, but we are seen. We are dust, yet we are trusted with dominion.

Even strength, David says, is ordained through weakness — “Out of the mouths of babes…” God silences His enemies through purity, not power.

Psalm 8 reminds us that the world around us is full of God's fingerprints — and that in our quietest moments of reflection, we find our truest worth not in who we are, but in who He is.
