Ardour as a Granular Synthesizer? (David Peterson Harvey's Strange World)

In the 1960s, experimental composers were slicing and splicing tape to create new and unique sounds and compositions. Digital technology provided a new era with samplers and, eventually, granular synthesis.

In this video, I use old's cool methods of slicing and splicing along with layered effects to see if I can create a granular synth pad using nothing but the DAW and a handful of plugins. My weapon of choice is Ardour, a full-featured, open source workstation, but most modern DAWs should be able to achieve the same results.
