Psalm 6 – A Cry for Mercy in the Depth of Distress

Psalms Chapter 6 is a cry from the edge — a prayer born from exhaustion, grief, and fear.
David pleads not to be rebuked in anger but to be met with mercy.
“I am weak… my bones are troubled… my soul is greatly troubled…”
He doesn't hide his sorrow — he pours it out.
Night after night, he weeps. His heart is heavy. His body weary.

But this psalm does not end in despair.
It shifts — quietly, powerfully — with the words:
“The Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.”

Psalm 6 is for the moments when you're too tired to pretend you're strong.
When all you can do is cry and wait.
And yet… there is hope.
God hears. God receives. God delivers.

This is a psalm for the deeply wounded — and the deeply loved.
