Psalm 3 – When Enemies Rise, the Lord Sustains

Psalms Chapter 3 is a cry from the valley — a moment of fear, betrayal, and overwhelming danger — yet it becomes a declaration of trust.
Written by David as he fled from his own son Absalom, this psalm begins in darkness: enemies surround him, voices mock him, and hope seems lost.

But then… David lifts his eyes.
He remembers that God is his shield, his honor, the One who lifts his head.
Even in the presence of thousands set against him, he lies down and sleeps — because the Lord sustains him.

Psalm 3 is for anyone who’s ever felt outnumbered, forgotten, or under attack.
It reminds us that even when the night feels thick with fear, God hears, God defends, and God saves.
His blessing is not just for David — it rests upon all who trust in Him.
