🎬📚 Day 2: How We Finish 2 Grades a Year in Our Homeschool | RL.3.3 Lesson

Welcome back to our HOMESCHOOL series where we show you exactly how we finish two grade levels a year using real life instead of boxed curriculum.

Today’s lesson builds on our work from Day 1, focusing on Reading Literature Standard RL.3.3: Describing characters and how their actions influence events.

Here’s what we did:
✅ Reviewed story elements with a focus on character traits
✅ Created character maps for Meg and Nate (from the movie)
✅ Connected traits to actions and actions to plot events
✅ Wrote paragraphs using evidence to explain cause and effect
✅ Strengthened grammar through sentence expansion with adjectives
✅ Reflected on how character traits influence real life behavior

We're teaching the same standard across multiple grade levels, not by doing more, but by going deeper.

📌 This is how we build strong readers and life ready thinkers.
📅 Tomorrow: Day 3 — same standard, next grade level.
