Hello, Hi, and Bye bye with Luke

My husband Charles Maris Marriage and I remember the days where we said and demonstrated hi, hello, bye bye, wave etc but our baby boy wouldn't respond, or answer to his name. We cried, prayed, and started studying how to develop routines, verbal cues and systems to support our journey with Luke. Learn it, comprehend it and do it.... We started intentionally incorporating it by saying Luke go get the keys, (keep the keys in the same place until he learned what they looked like) it's time to go Bye bye, waving bye bye and putting him in the car. Even if that meant driving up the street to get his favorite fries, taking him to the park, or just driving around.
We'd get back home and have daddy to greet him. He'd say hello Luke, wave at him, give him a hug, smile at him etc so he'd learn the difference in our comings and goings. Leaving and coming back... We'd pull up at home and say we are home luke to get him familiar with our intentional routine. This video we capture how far he's come because today he expresses hi, hello, bye bye and the affection we always give him. Now if I say, go get the keys, he searches for them, gets them and goes toward the door. He then waves bye bye. We are still working on it but with verbal cues he does it and we are proud of him.
We created him a channel since he loves recording himself and it's called Learning With Luke because we are truly learning together!
