Ukrainian drone attack sets Russian oil depot on fire

A Ukrainian drone strike overnight caused a major fire at an oil depot near Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi, prompting flight suspensions and a large emergency response.

Russia also reported drone strikes in other regions, including one in Voronezh that injured four.

Russia claimed to have downed 93 Ukrainian drones, while Ukraine reported a wave of Russian drone and missile attacks that wounded several civilians.

Amid ongoing hostilities, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced an agreement with Russia to exchange 1,200 prisoners, following recent negotiations in Istanbul, the Associated Press has reported.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Trump set an August 8 deadline for progress on peace talks.
