Episode 1069: Why does God all evil to persist and why doesn't He do something about it? Part 3

Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we continue to walk our way slowly through the letter that our Lord Jesus Christ gave to the church at Smyrna.

What we are learning in this study has been vast. We have cover a lot of scriptures as it relate to the blasphemy of the Jews. I am quite certain it is more than most expected.

Why is that? Because we are not patient. Yes, I included myself with everyone else, especially Americans. Proper Bible study takes a lot of discipline and time. Most simply want to read the book and memorize their favorite verses to prove their respective theological points.

That is not Bible study. The only reason to read the scriptures is to know God and His Son Christ Jesus the Lord. That's it.

What we have learned thus far is that the Lord is in absolute control of all things and that He is working His plan to perfection even though evil and wickedness seems to be running wild throughout all the earth.

What we learn today is that God gives people the kind of government and punishes nations based upon their knowledge and faithfulness to His word. In other words, God will use a more wicked nation to punish a wicked nation because they deserved it.

It works the same in our lives. Does this mean that everytime something evil or bad happens in my life that it is God who is directing it. No, not necessarily, it means one of three things.

1. God allowed it to show you where you are.
2. God allowed it to correct your behavior.
3. God allowed it to bring about a greater purpose through your sufferings.

God has a purpose and that purpose is a reconciliation plan. He will not detour from that plan one bit. This should truly put an end to this foolishness of mankind or angels having free will which is utterly ridiculous.
