This week Scott and Patrick analyze the 1963 novel "The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea" by Yukio Mishima. They explore the symbolism, and deeper themes of a lost generation of Japanese youth tainted by the perverse influence of the West. We contrast the novel with the 2011 Studio Ghibli film "From Up on Poppy Hill", seemingly a inverse representation of the same place and era.
