In this hour, one of the most effective traps the enemy is using to disable and distract believers is the spirit of offense. Offense is subtle. It doesn’t always show up as full-blown anger or division—it often starts as a small wound, a misunderstanding, a word spoken out of turn, or a leader who didn’t meet your expectations. If it’s not dealt with, offense grows into bitterness, isolation, rebellion, and ultimately spiritual paralysis. It is a spiritual snare designed to rob you of the anointing, your joy, your growth, your relationships, and your destiny.
“It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!”
— Luke 17:1 (NKJV)
I. The Enemy’s Strategy: Offense Is a Trap
“A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle.”
— Proverbs 18:19 (NKJV)
II. Seven Things God Has for You When You Step Out of Offense and Into Victory
1. Freedom from Bondage
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
— Galatians 5:1 (NKJV)
2. Restoration of Relationships
“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”
— Romans 12:18 (NKJV)
3. Unhindered Prayer Life
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”
— Mark 11:25 (NKJV)
4. Spiritual Authority and Power
“Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.”
— Psalm 119:165 (NKJV)
5. Clarity of Vision and Purpose
“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.”
— Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV)
6. Joy and Emotional Healing
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3 (NKJV)
7. Victory and Kingdom Advancement
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
— Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)
It’s Time to Drop the Offense and Take Up Your Assignment
Jesus didn’t promise a life without offense—but He did promise grace to overcome it.
“Blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”
— Matthew 11:6 (NKJV)
God is calling you out of the pit of bitterness and back onto the path of destiny. Don’t let offense be the thing that sidelines you from your calling, your joy, or your breakthrough. You were made for more.
Choose forgiveness. Choose freedom. Choose victory.
Let go—and rise. The kingdom of God needs you fully healed and fully engaged.
