Another week of rapid fat loss has been completed. This week's results were a surprise. It's also a good illustration of how fat loss is not a linear process...no matter how much we wish it was.

Often people try to do everything at once. Loads of cardio and little to no calories. This can lead to early and significant fat loss stalls. Diet breaks and occasional increases in calories can help to offset this. Sometimes, these increases actually lead to fat loss. I know, I know...it doesn't make sense. Calories go up and fat loss improves!?! Sometimes yes. I think it has more to do with giving the body a little bit of a reprieve and some stress relief.

Previously, I would make changes weekly during my fat loss phase. I don't think this is the best approach now. I made those small changes to make sure the fat loss continued. Now, I think it is better to wait until fat loss stalls for a couple/few weeks before making any changes. This has worked well for me. I have more energy and this "diet" has been much easier than normal.
