RELEASE THE WORRIES TO GOD

Colossians 3:15 New King James Version
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

What does it mean to release your worries to God? I thought about that as I read this morning’s scripture, and I'm still thinking about it. I'm learning that it means as Xochitl Dixon this morning's devotional writer states, “The Peace of God protects us when we trust that the God of peace is with us. Liberated from the burden of clinging concerns, we can experience peace in the release of every prayer and to God's trustworthy hands.” I'm gonna be honest guys and tell you that I find that difficult. I find it difficult because I want to cling to the fear. I want to hold on to the anger, the frustration, and not let go. But one thing I continue to learn, is that I need to release my grip of the worries, fears, anger, and whatever emotion I am feeling (Which I have every right to feel.), and give them to God. That when I do, I truly experience peace like nothing else, and that's something I am extremely grateful for. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional are so challenging to my heart, and I feel it important to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions carefully, and I pray that God will speak to your heart through them.

How has God used Scripture to help you trust that He hears your prayers?

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you not only think about these questions from this morning's devotional, but I pray that you can realize and know without a shadow of a doubt, that God not only hears your prayers, but you can trust that God always keeps His word. You can count on this, as you choose to let go of my fears, I will be surrounded by the peace that passes all understanding that will guard my heart and mind in Christ. It's not gonna be an easy thing to do guys, because worry, fear, and all other emotions are extremely strong, but with God I believe they can be handled in a healthy manner without suppressing them. Remember that God's peace will always protect you when you choose to trust that the God of peace is with you! Don't cling to the worries, but cling to God!
