Amid rising US-Russia threats, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, one of Europe’s most pro-Putin leaders, openly criticised NATO’s “worries” and the West’s arms race, refusing to see Russia as a real military threat to Europe. Orban contended that the “real threats” were not military in nature, contradictory to Europe and NATO's beliefs. Orban also warned of the “extremely dangerous arms race spiral” among NATO members.
