📽 The holding company «Russian Helicopters» of the State Corporation Rostec delivered 10 new Mil Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to five regional airlines under a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). The official ceremony took place at the Kazan helicopter plant.

The helicopters will perform tasks in hard-to-reach areas with harsh climatic conditions. Two new aircraft were received by each of the following airlines:

▪️ «Polar Airlines»
▪️ «Taiga»
▪️ Air Enterprise «Eltsovka»
▪️ Strezhevoy Air Enterprise
▪️ «ChukotAVIA»

The cabin of each delivered Mi-8 is equipped with 23 seats, and spaces have been prepared for the installation of medical modules. Among other things, KVZ specialists have modified the means for installing external suspensions, expanding their cargo transport capabilities, as well as for medical and emergency evacuation.

"The equipment delivered is produced under the contract between the holding company «Russian Helicopters» and GTLK for the supply of 86 Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters. All the air carriers that have received the new technology today are our long-standing and reliable partners. They operate in regions with very difficult climatic and geographical conditions, where helicopters are, without exaggeration, irreplaceable. I am convinced that the new 'eights' will play an important role in increasing transport accessibility in remote areas, providing their inhabitants with timely medical assistance, which is extremely important for us as manufacturers," emphasized the General Director of the holding company «Russian Helicopters» Nikolay Kolesov.

The Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters can be equipped with additional external fuel tanks of 915 liters each. This increases flight range, particularly relevant for use in regions with vast territorial expanses.
