Are IT Scams Fooling Your Company? VLANs for VOIP

One of the most common tactics to create unnecessarily complicated systems is to claim that VoIP is "too complex" and needs "special accommodations" when in reality, it is anything but, and VLANs mostly work against any particular needs of VoIP, not for them. VLANs are often perceived as being complex and requiring more expensive gear and more complicated management making them an easy bluff for a network reseller to claim a need for as most IT shops aren't prepared to ask hard questions about them.
