Brothers, sisters, friends and elders Assalamu Alaikum, wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, we are presenting the 123th episode of the Islamic informative video based on healing and events from the Holy Quran,and in this video we will describe, What command does Allah give to avoid spreading corruption on earth?

Allah commands the believers to uphold peace, justice, and righteousness on the earth and strictly forbids spreading corruption in any form. Spreading corruption includes acts such as oppression, dishonesty, injustice, killing without right, environmental harm, moral decay, and breaking the laws of Allah. In the Qur'an, Allah repeatedly warns against mischief and the destruction it causes to individuals and societies. One of the clearest commands is found in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 11:

"And when it is said to them: 'Do not cause corruption on the earth,' they say, 'We are only reformers.'"

This verse speaks of the hypocrites who pretend to be reformers but actually spread disorder and evil. Allah exposes their deceit and warns that while they claim to fix problems, their actions destroy moral and social order. In the next verse, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 12, Allah further states:

"Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not."

This reflects a powerful psychological and spiritual truth—those who commit corruption often justify it or are blind to the damage they cause. These verses teach believers to be vigilant and honest with themselves, and to avoid any act that leads to harm.

Another strong command appears in **Surah Al-A'raf verse 56:

"And do not cause corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good."

This verse stresses that once the earth has been set in order—whether through moral laws, natural balance, or societal peace—it should not be disrupted. Corruption can take many forms: violence, theft, cheating, immorality, pollution, or anything that breaks the harmony created by Allah. The command to avoid such acts is tied to spiritual consciousness—invoking Allah with humility and hope. Those who maintain justice and goodness are promised Allah’s mercy.

In Surah Al-Qasas verse 77, Allah instructs:

"And do not seek corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like the corrupters."

This verse was part of the advice given to Qarun (Korah), a wealthy man who became arrogant and corrupt. His story shows how wealth and power can lead people to spread injustice and imbalance in society. Allah warns against this behavior, making it clear that He detests those who spread (corruption), whether economically, politically, or socially.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also gave many clear warnings regarding corruption and mischief. In **Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3166, the Prophet (PBUH) said:

"There will come leaders who will not follow my guidance and will not adopt my ways. Some of their men will have the hearts of devils in the bodies of human beings."

This hadith warns of corrupt rulers and leaders who abandon justice, spread oppression, and cause harm. Such leadership results in widespread on earth, which is a betrayal of the trust given to rulers. The hadith teaches Muslims to recognize the importance of justice and righteous leadership in preventing societal corruption.

In Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2511, the Prophet (PBUH) said:

"If people see a wrongdoer and do not stop him, soon Allah will send a punishment to all of them."

This hadith connects the duty of commanding good and forbidding evil (amr bil ma'ruf wa nahi 'anil munkar) with avoiding widespread corruption. If society becomes silent in the face of injustice, then spreads and everyone becomes responsible in the eyes of Allah.

Therefore, Islam does not allow neutrality in the face of corruption. Avoiding and working toward (reformation) are collective duties. Every believer is expected to maintain peace, act justly, avoid harm, and speak out against wrongdoing. Allah’s commands in the Qur’an and the Prophet’s (PBUH) guidance in the Hadith together create a powerful framework for building a just and ethical society. Spreading corruption not only violates divine commands but also destroys the blessings, peace, and harmony that Allah has granted the earth and humanity.
