Av: The Month of Mourning and Returning to the Father

Av is a month of paradox—marked by deep sorrow and great comfort. It holds both the destruction of the Temple and the promise of rebuilding. In this season, God invites us to know Him not just as a distant God, but as Abba—our Father who heals, restores, and leads us back to His heart.

🔹 Tribe: Simeon – whose name means “hearing,” reminding us to listen with grace, even when correction comes.
🔹 Gate: The Old Gate (Jeshanah) – revisited now for deeper restoration, returning to ancient paths and rebuilding what was lost.
🔹 Hebrew Letter: Lamed (ל) – the tallest letter, representing the heart of learning, correction, and shepherding.
🔹 Health Focus: Trauma and Heart Healing – processing grief, emotional wounds, and generational pain to find lasting peace and integration.

This episode is a call to choose Abba again—to allow His love to reach into the deepest wounds and begin the rebuilding process. Av reminds us that mourning can become dancing when we align with the Father's voice.
