This piece started out as a poem that I wrote as part of a National Poetry Writing Month celebration in April 2017. I was a member of a writer's forum then, and that entire month, the forum published a bunch of poetry writing prompts and challenges. Unfortunately, that forum is no longer online, so I don't have any records of what their prompts were.
