Resident Evil 7 - Part 25

Jack is back! I missed him... but in typical RE fashion he transformed into a massive flesh monster with many eyeballs to shoot. Eyes are always the weak point in RE bosses. I love how consistent that is throughout the series.

The fight is fun and cinematic. I died a lot before I got it down. Story wise you meet Zoe for the first time and are forced to make a choice after the fight. You see the only way to put Jack down for good was to use 1 of the 2 serums Zoe made, now you only have 1 serum left for two people. Who will you choose to cure? Zoe the random girl that's been guiding you through the Baker estate? Or... your wife Mia who you have been looking for and trying to save this whole time?

Honestly this is the weakest part of the story here. They could have done without this choice. Saving Zoe makes absolutely no sense from a story perspective as it completely undercuts Ethan's motivation to not turn tail and run the moment he got free of the main house. Also I don't know why, but the writers absolutely fail to show any kind of affection between Ethan and Mia. Like, give her a hug man! She's been through a lot. Having finished the game at the time of writing this I know that even in the final moments of the game this is not rectified.
