1 small piece of ginger root;
2 teaspoons of turmeric;
1 litre of water;
400 g garlic (peeled, and cut into slices);
400 g sugar (can be plain, but ideally brown).

Heat the water in a saucepan. When it boils, add the sugar, garlic, ginger and turmeric to it.
Add the sugar last.
Cook the mixture on low heat until half of the water has boiled off. Then remove the pot from the cooker and pour the liquid into a jar. When it cools down, place it in the refrigerator. And take it twice a day
